From our hobby farm in Minnesota, Renee and Brian travel far and wide training our dogs and running hunt tests.  4 years ago, we were lucky enough to get our pup Belle from Todd & Benita Otterness at Thunderstruck Retrievers.  Belle got her foundational training with Tim & Lauren Springer at Dynamic Retrievers.  Belle quickly excelled at everything we threw at her, achieving her Master Hunter title before she was 2, and her Hunting Retriever Champion title when she was 3. She's a fierce competitor and really loves to work, but has a great off switch too, coming to us every evening to jump on a lap for some cuddle time.

We wanted to have a litter in order to get another pup going for ourselves as well one one for our daughter. We began a meticulous search for the perfect sire and after much careful thought, chose Autumn's Sunka Luta Naco from Connecticut. Naco has an incredible list of accomplishments and an equally impressive pedigree, and we couldn't be more excited about our upcoming litter due in late November 2026.

Belle and Naco are both AKC registered, have full health clearances and are both completely clear genetically.

Firelight comes from a line in a song by Brian's favorite band.  "While the firelight's aglow, strange shadows from the flames will grow."  Hit us up if you can name the band!
